EAGLE PARK In Rexburg
Located near Nature Park in Rexburg. It is a single dirt road that is an easy 15 minute walk. There are campgrounds along the way but it is big enough to share and take pictures in. A river follows the trail. About a 5 minute drive from Broulims in Rexburg.
BEAVER DICK PARK just outside of rexburg
This location is more of a desert scene with lots of sage brush and grass. It's about a 12 minute drive from the Rexburg Maverick Gas station on Main Street.
across "BUBBLE BRIDGE" IN ST. ANTHONY
This spot is located ACROSS the "Bubble Bridge" train tracks in St. Anthony Idaho. Right after the first St. Anthony exit, you will take a left onto a road. Follow that road to the end and you will find a train bridge. We would meet there by car and then walk over the bridge by foot to get to the other side of the river where this spot is. It's a beautiful grassy field next to the river.
TRAIL BEHIND THE OLD CAL RANCH BUILDING IN REXBURG
This is probably the most popular spot. It has a river, trees, tall grass, perfect light in the summers, not too buggy and it's located right in town! I have you meet me in the Old Cal Ranch parking lot and then I have you follow me to the spot I like to park at and then we walk down the paved trail to these locations! Honestly I think it's my favorite spot to use because it's close and it has so much variatey.
CRESS CREEK TRAIL IN RIRIE
I've actually never shot here before but my little family and I went on a walk here the other month and it is BEAUTIFUL! The overlook is amazing and it's so green in the summer. It also has a little sage brush feel. It's a 15 minute walk to the top from where you park your car and it's paved most the way up. It's about a 25 minute drive from Rexburg toward Ririe.
Warm Slough in Hibbard
Another favorite of mine that is about a 15 minute drive from the Maverick Gas station in Rexburg. You'll drive past Hibbard and then turn off to go toward Warm Slough Campground. I like the variaty here too. There is water, green grass, yellow grass, sagebrush, rocks, white bark trees and some cows ;)
UP NEAR KELLY CANYON
This is about a 35 minute drive from the Rexburg Idaho Temple. It's up in the mountains and I've had some really pretty shoots here before. There are a canyon of pine trees, white bark trees, and open fields. Definitely different scenery if that's what you are looking for!
SHEEPS BRIDGE NEAR DRIGGS
This is about an hour drive from Rexburg to here (and it's actually in Wyoming). But it's worth the drive for sure. You get the mountains in the background and other little spots (close to your car) that are beautiful as well.
